The Vice Chancellor of University of Cape Coast, Professor Joseph Ghartey Ampiah has cautioned students of the university against indiscipline warning, management will take any student on for engaging in any form of misbehavior.
He said the university will impose strict sanctions on any student found culpable of any form of insubordination.
The Vice Chancellor gave the stern warning while addressing students at a welcome Christian church service organized for first year students of the University.
Professor Ghartey Ampiah indicated that, the university as an academic institution is focused on satisfying the academic needs of students under a conducive atmosphere and therefore will not allow any disturbances affect the peace within the university.
He described as unfortunate the few times the university has to suffer for the bad behavior of some students. He said such behavior should be at all times abhorred since it tarnishes the image of the university.
Professor Ampiah encouraged the students to be law abiding, have respect for all and at all times remember their aim of coming to the university and work towards it.
He called on the students to have careful balance of their Christian and academic life so that one does not deprive the other.
According to him, it is important for students to appreciate the opportunity given them to have their university education in UCC. He explained that University of Cape Coast is a great university with the requisite machinery that trains students to be resourceful in all fields of endeavor.
