NSS Absolves Itself From Delays In Payment Of Allowances

The Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Scheme Dr. Gifty Oware Aboagye has explained that most problems associated with the payment of allowances stem from challenges that originate from the personnel themselves but not the secretariat.

In an interview with Theophilus Sosi during a recent visit to ATL FM, Mrs Aboagye explained that, in the past, personnel experienced delays with their banks but the service now deals directly with the banks to ensure prompt payment.

She said the National Service Secretariat has instituted measures to block loopholes which enabled people to take advantage to collect allowances unduly.
She added the secretariat has instituted measures to synergize the banks of all personnel to avoid delays in payment of allowances.
