Government to recruit ‘Intervention Teachers’ to teach at the Senior High Schools

Government is considering the recruitment of teachers to teach at the Public Senior High Schools.
These teachers,according to the Deputy Education Minister and Member of Parliament for Bosumtwe,Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum shall be regarded as ‘Intervention Teachers’ ,shall assist teachers in improving the performance of underprivileged Senior High Schools in the country.

Though the Deputy Minister could not categorize the supposed ‘Intervention Teachers’ ,he gave out the qualification to be considered for recruitment.
The Deputy Minister said the vacancy shall in due course,be opened to graduates from the Tertiary Institutions who graduated with Diplomas and Degree in Education.

He was also emphatic on the their WASSCE results,saying much preference shall be given to Graduates who had passed all their subjects, especially English , Maths and Integrated Science, at the
WASSCE level.
