The School of Business, University of Cape Coast has expressed willingness to support government’s one district one factory project in the Central Region.
This was disclosed at a stakeholders meeting held on Tuesday by the Cape Coast Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry with support from the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Cape Coast.
The gathering aimed at bringing on board all stakeholders in the Central Region to plan on how to facilitate the implementation of the one district one factory project.
In an interview with the Vice Dean of the School of Business, Dr Siaw Frimpong, he said the School of Business, UCC is ready to help in the implementation of the one district one factory project in the area of business plan, financial issues, accounting and management.

"As a university and particularly a Business School, our main area is business and therefore if we are thinking of this One District One Factory we should be in the position to help in terms of Business plan, proposal development and financial Issues and Analysis",
he added.
"We want Central Region to grow and if as a university we can’t come in to help, then what else can we do?"
Dr Siaw Frimpong added that, the School of Business is also willing to collaborate with the College of Agriculture and other institutions in the university to provide maximum support for the one district one factory project.
